I am a Newbie. That Doesn't Mean I Automatically am Socially Destroyed.

Ello poppets.

Did anybody else notice that everybody seems to always treat newbies like dirt? I'm just saying. So, in that case: Don't treat me like dirt. Dirt is walked on... and dirty.

On that cheerful note, yesterday was my birthday. So, yippee! I am officially older! What joy.

It didn't help that my brother told me I'm this much (*shows with fingers*) closer to dying. Not that I'm really old or anything. I'm a young, cheerful butterfly.

THAT'S RIGHT, MY ELDERLY WAYS OF AGING HAVE PAID OFF! I AM NO LONGER A LOATHING CATERPILLAR, BUT I AM NOW A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY!

Hmm... I feel like a random hooligan, considering this is my first blog post.

Peaché! :sweatdrop:

Pfft... I said 'hooligan.'

Hahaha I like your post!

Hahaha I like your post! Welcome newbie! But we can always skip that part and pretend you've been here for a while.

Are you referring to here at TJP?

We generally go out of our way around here to be as polite and helpful to newbies as possible. And if a singular person on the forum happens to be less friendly than the rest, I would hope that doesn't negate all the positive actions of everyone else.

I'm still a beginner myself, and I remember how it felt to be a total newbie myself. So I (and many others here) try to make sure we're as friendly and helpful to beginners as possible. Helping to point them in the right direction, get them setup to be able to see and type in Japanese, to start learning the kana, and some beginner vocabulary, correcting common beginner mistakes, etc. :)

If you feel a someone in particular is treating newbies like dirt around here, please let me know! That's the last thing we want TJP associated with.

Thanks. :)

With that said... ;) お誕生日おめでとうございます! (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) :D

And TJPへようこそ! (Welcome to TJP!) :)
