Japanese Beginner's Conversation - Say Again?

Three useful phrases when the meaning is unclear during a Japanese conversation.

もっとゆっくり話してください。
motto yukkuri hanashite kudasai
Please speak a little slower.

もう一回話してください。
mou ikkai hanashite kudasai
Please say that again.

分かりません。
wakarimasen.
I don't understand.

"mou ichido hanashite

"mou ichido hanashite kudasai" is how I learned to say "please say that again." I also learned simply, "mou ichido kudasai." So I'm pretty sure either works...

What about ichido?

Can't you also say "mou ichido hanashite kudasai" for "Please say that again"?

If so, what is the difference between "ikkai" and "ichido"?
