Regarding "となる vs になる". This is the usage of となる( instead of になる。) from a proverb.＾＾ --Coco　 17:53, 30 June 2007 (EDT)
ちり(塵)も積もれば山となる。= Penny and penny laid up will be many. /Many small make a great.
