Thank you these podcasts and scripts are great! Really clear and helpful.
Thank you–glad you like it. 🙂
I’m a long-time listener of Amazon music, and I was very excited to find that they’ve started offering podcasts – particularly ones in Japanese! I hope you will continue to post more content to Amazon (since there are only 2 podcasts so far). I also am very much enjoying the short sentences (with the Furigana!) on your site, and I’m really hoping that short sentences like that, with a quick explanation and then some repetition will also be included in the podcasts posted to Amazon music. I would LOVE to be able to listen to sentences like that in my car, as I’m driving. I realize that you need to make money to continue providing such wonderful content, though. Thanks for all you’re doing. Maybe someday you guys will have a Makoto+ app for members to stream additional content add-free and also more easily navigate your site’s content.
Thank you! Did you see both podcasts? https://music.amazon.com/search/thejapanesepage
We have a Beginning Japanese Phrases that does exactly what you suggested. We take the beginner sentences and make a podcast out of it. I may start an intermediate version if enough people think it would be worth it.
Also, I believe I posted a ad-free feed to the Makoto+ members area for the phrases podcast. I don’t think you can add custom feeds to the Amazon music app, but you can for most any other podcast player app.
We are working on more audio-only content. Today, we recorded the audio for turning our Momotaro book into an audiobook. I’ll place a download link for it in Makoto+ for free for members as soon as we are done (sometime this week).
I feel like I’m going crazy. This morning I found a podcast/audio clip talking about going for a stroll and the neighbourhood dog barking but I can’t find it anywhere. There’s no back button so I keep having to close the app and then forgetting which options I’ve explored. Could you help me please?
Sorry–I know it is confusing, but that is from the other podcast. I haven’t finished making a proper index page for it yet, but you are referring to the first one:
And it should be in iTunes tonight. I’ll post links to all the podcast apps when it is available.
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed listening to it and practising my speech. I think these new podcasts and videos are awesome.
