Japanese Dialogue on a date

Here is a quick dialogue we recorded some years ago of two Japanese friends of ours.

こんにちは。由美さん

あら、こんにちは。マイクさん。

あの、今日仕事のあと、なにか予定がありますか?

[su_spoiler title=”Translation” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”arrow”]ano, kyou shigoto no ato, nanika yotei ga arimasu ka? Um, after work today, do you have any plans?[/su_spoiler]

今日はお料理教室に行く予定です。

[su_spoiler title=”Translation” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”arrow”]kyou wa oryouri kyoushitsu ni iku yotei desu. Today, I’m planning to go to a cooking class.[/su_spoiler]

料理を習っているんですか。

[su_spoiler title=”Translation” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”arrow”]ryouri o naratte irun desu ka? You are studying cooking?[/su_spoiler]

はい、料理が好きなんです。

いいですね。じゃ、今週末はなにかする予定ですか?

週末はなにもないですけど?

それじゃ、一緒に食事でもどうですか?

[su_spoiler title=”Translation” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”arrow”]sore ja, issho ni shokuji demo dou desu ka? Well then, how about going out to eat?[/su_spoiler]

いいですよ。

どんな料理がすきですか?

フランス料理がいいです。今ちょうど習っているんです。

そうですか、では、いい店を探しておきます。
