JLPT N5 Grammar: Counting 1-10 in Japanese


 ABOUT: 

■  Japanese uses the Arabic numerals as well as kanji. Most numbers have more than one reading, one for the on reading (Chinese origin) and the other for the kun reading (native Japanese readings).

1-10: The on reading is used for the cardinal numbers (normal counting pronunciation), so learn those first.
