Used to stress the meaning of a sentence or to show doubt.

例文(れいぶん) EXAMPLE SENTENCE

どうもありがとうございます。

very much-thanks-(polite)
Thank you very much.

COMMENTS

It is mainly used with ありがとう and すみません.

Note: often どうもありがとう is shortened to just どうも. Another variant is saying どうも twice – どうもどうも
