JLPT N5 Grammar: にする・にします ~ni suru


 ABOUT: 

■  When deciding on something from several choices (e.g. at a restaurant), use にする or the more polite にします. Another similar and mostly interchangeable expression is にきめる, to decide upon.

HOW to use:

■ Add to nouns.

EXAMPLES:

今日(きょう)夕食(ゆうしょく)は、ピザにします
I'll have pizza for supper tonight.
[today's | dinner | pizza | decide on]

(あか)(くるま)にしました
I decided upon a red car.
[red | 's | car | decided on]
