V+前(まえ)に・N+の前(まえ)に

■ 前(まえ)に can be used both spatially and temporally. In front of something (spatially) and previous to something (temporally).

HOW to use:

■ Verb: Place after the plain, non-past verb.
■ Noun: Place の前(まえ) after the noun.

EXAMPLES:

食(た)べる前(まえ)に、手(て)を洗(あら)ってください。
Please wash your hands before eating.

仕事(しごと)に行(い)く前(まえ)に、朝(あさ)ごはんを食(た)べます。
Before going to work, (I) eat breakfast.
