JLPT N5 Grammar: V+前(まえ)に・N+の前(まえ)に ~mae ni


 ABOUT: 

■  (まえ)に can be used both spatially and temporally. In front of something (spatially) and previous to something (temporally).

HOW to use:

■ Verb: Place after the plain, non-past verb.
■ Noun: Place の(まえ) after the noun.

EXAMPLES:

()べる(まえ)()(あら)ってください。
Please wash your hands before eating.
[eating | before | hand | wash | please]

仕事(しごと)()(まえ)(あさ)ごはんを()べます。
Before going to work, (I) eat breakfast.
[work | to | go | before | breakfast | eat]
